What you will do

• Build next-generation steering models combining PD, LGD, and behavioral data to drive commercial growth.
• Analyze risk drivers to optimize acceptance, pricing, and portfolio strategies.
• Design and validate robust, explainable features for risk models.
• Partner with engineers to deploy models into production and maintain their performance.
• Develop early-warning signals and stress-testing frameworks for proactive risk intervention.
• Coach junior team members to support the growth of the data science team.

Requirements

• Senior experience as a Data Scientist or Credit Risk Modeller within banking, fintech, or lending.
• Proven track record of building and owning credit risk models (e.g., PD, LGD, loan capacity).
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience managing the full model lifecycle from data exploration to production deployment.
• Deep understanding of lending portfolios and the trade-off between growth and risk.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid arrangement in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
