National Security Policy Specialist

TL;DR

National Security Policy Specialist (Policy/Advocacy): Supporting the National Security team in addressing the politicization of U.S. military and intelligence agencies with an accent on policy analysis, coalition building, and research. Focus on high-stakes litigation and public advocacy projects related to the domestic use of military force.

Location: Must be based in the United States

Compensation: $40–$60/hour

What you will do

• Support the National Security team with strengthening coalitions and policy development.
• Monitor and analyze policy and legal trends to conduct internal research.
• Draft internal and external-facing communications and research products.
• Provide administrative and project management support to advocacy, legal, and communications projects.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in policy, organizing, or research relating to U.S. national security.
• Solid understanding of threats regarding the politicization of U.S. military and national security agencies.
• Must be available to start no later than September 1, 2026.
• Must be able to dedicate 25-35 hours per week.
• Must be based in the United States.
• High degree of autonomy in driving policy or communications projects.
