TL;DR

Associate SOC Engineer (Cybersecurity): Providing MSS support and incident response for client systems with an accent on SIEM management, network troubleshooting, and security configuration. Focus on maintaining service health, resolving security tickets, and collaborating with higher-tier engineers to ensure enterprise-grade protection.

Location: Must be based in the USA. This is a third-shift position working overnight Wednesday-Saturday.

What you will do

• Serve as a primary responder for client systems, tracking configuration issues through to resolution.
• Perform health checks, reporting, and basic troubleshooting for MSS services.
• Configure and implement security software and appliance-based products in enterprise environments.
• Provide escalation support to Tier 1 and 2 teams for authorized customers.
• Develop and maintain knowledge base documentation to improve service efficiency.
• Conduct knowledge transfers to clients regarding security and system configuration.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Security, or Networking.
• 2-4 years of experience in the discipline domain.
• Practical knowledge of TCP/IP networking, OSI model, Linux, and Windows OS.
• Experience with ticketing systems like Jira, ServiceNow, or Confluence.
• Understanding of server-grade applications including Active Directory, SQL, DNS, and SMTP.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification.
• CCNA, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, MS Sentinel, or Splunk certifications.
• Experience with endpoint security products like Carbon Black or Cortex XDR.
