What you will do

• Verify specimens and perform required laboratory tests using standard methods and procedures with minimal errors.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lab methods and ensure equipment is calibrated and in good operating condition.
• Follow GLP by keeping a clean, organized workspace and completing required training and deadlines on time.
• Recognize, document, and escalate protocol deviations and equipment malfunctions; troubleshoot common analytical and processing errors per SOP.
• Perform quality control procedures (if applicable) to ensure accuracy of clinical data and support regulatory compliance through proper documentation.
• Provide guidance and training (including super-user training) for new personnel and assist with documentation for nonconformance reports.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
• Current MT/MLS/CLS/MB certification preferable from ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
• Experience analyzing clinical laboratory specimens using standard methods and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, computer, troubleshooting, and pipetting skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in BSL-1 to BSL-2 laboratories and follow safety requirements (goggles, gloves, lab coat).
• Ability to lift boxes/supplies up to 35 lbs and meet physical demands including color discernment and exposure to cold air from refrigeration/freezer access.
