What you will do

• Develop, train, and evaluate predictive models using machine learning and statistical techniques.
• Manage the full model lifecycle from feature engineering and training to validation and deployment.
• Query, clean, and explore datasets using Python and SQL to support model development.
• Utilize AI tools to accelerate and improve daily development workflows.
• Maintain high standards of model discipline through version control, testing, and documentation.
• Present analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Solid grounding in machine learning, supervised/unsupervised methods, and classical statistics.
• Experience with probabilistic models, uncertainty estimation, and Bayesian inference.
• Hands-on experience building and evaluating models in a data science or quantitative context.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data exploration and feature development.
• Understanding of the full model training pipeline including data preparation and validation.
• Passion for sports and understanding of sport-driven modeling contexts.

Nice to have

• Experience with Monte Carlo methods or probabilistic simulation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor.
