Director, Engineering (AI/Digital Experience Monitoring)

Location: Paris, France; hybrid workplace. Candidates must be based in Paris or open to relocating there.

What you will do

• Own engineering for one or more Digital Experience Monitoring product areas.
• Manage 50–60 engineers through Engineering Managers in a manager-of-managers role.
• Shape product roadmaps and strategy with product leadership.
• Drive AI adoption across engineering tools, workflows, product features, and team practices.
• Navigate dependencies across DEM, APM, Core Platform, AI Platform, and Data Science.
• Build and retain engineering talent in Paris, mentor Engineering Managers, and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Direct experience managing Engineering Managers is required.
• Experience integrating AI into engineering leadership and product development.
• Track record of shaping product decisions and strategy.
• Experience with large-scale, event-driven, or data-intensive backend systems, including ingestion pipelines, high-throughput APIs, or time-series and event data.
• Full-stack or frontend-adjacent experience with SDK-heavy, browser-facing, or mobile-facing products.
• Professional English required; French is not required. Must be based in Paris or open to relocating to Paris.
