TL;DR

Automated Test Engineer (ATE): Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts to ensure information systems and services meet organizational and end-user requirements with an accent on test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and end-to-end validation across APIs, web applications, and performance testing. Focus on building reliable verification workflows, documenting and resolving complex defects, and applying risk-based and exploratory testing approaches within an Agile/SDLC environment.

Location: Remote (U.S. based). U.S. citizenship required. Not eligible for candidates located in CA, CO, IL, MN, NJ, NY, OR, or WA.

Salary: $85,389 - $116,975

What you will do

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures for information systems, products, and services.
• Write test scripts and identify test data for test scenarios; perform walkthroughs with test, requirement, project, and development leads.
• Perform and lead functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and UAT testing to ensure freedom from defects.
• Verify work products in an appropriate verification environment and document/communicate test results and progress.
• Analyze test results, support resolution of open issues, and document complex problems and improvements to procedures.
• Build daily test metrics/reporting and occasionally support related IT systems engineering activities (requirements, design, installation, operation, sustainment, support).

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required; must possess or qualify for Public Trust (MBI).
• Strong programming skills (commonly C#, Java, or Python) and proven experience on complex software projects delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing, including writing and executing test cases, scripts, and test plans.
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks/tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, QTP, LoadRunner) and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and understanding of SDLC; familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions) and version control (e.g., Git, Subversion).
• Experience testing web applications, APIs/services, and validating stored data with database/SQL; strong analytical and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with EDI X.12 medical claims (e.g., 837, 834, 277).
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Ability to mentor and guide junior testers.
