Test Automation Engineer (AI/Playwright)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable automated test solutions for web, API, and mobile applications.
• Implement AI-assisted automation using Windsurf and Katalon Studio AI Assist to improve efficiency.
• Build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, Katalon Studio, and other modern frameworks.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins.
• Champion Shift-Left testing practices by enabling automated smoke testing during pull requests.
• Collaborate with software engineers, Product Owners, and DevOps teams to improve application testability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with a strong focus on test automation.
• Expert-level experience with Playwright, Katalon Studio, Selenium, and Sauce Labs.
• Proven experience designing and developing automated testing frameworks for enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins).
• Experience automating both UI and API testing.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI-assisted development or automation tools.
• Familiarity with healthcare technology or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience implementing Shift-Left testing strategies.
• Experience mentoring engineers and promoting automation best practices.
