Quantitative Risk Analyst (Finance/Energy): Delivering high-quality quantitative analysis and commercial insight for energy trading and pricing portfolios with an accent on complex modelling and risk mitigation. Focus on developing automated feeds for pricing, hedging, and cost forecasting to support senior decision-making.

Location: Must be based in Solihull, UK (Hybrid: 2 days a week onsite)

Salary: £37,659 - £50,250

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and calibrate models for automated feeds into Pricing, Hedging, and Cost/Revenue Forecasting.
• Provide detailed analysis and modelling expertise to support risk processes for financial submissions.
• Support the development of risk-mitigating proposals by monitoring external wholesale market changes.
• Collaborate with the Export, Structuring & Analysis team to enhance analytical excellence.
• Contribute to senior decision-making meetings through data-driven insights.

Requirements

• Degree level education in a numerical discipline.
• Strong ability to analyse complex issues and distil them into meaningful metrics.
• Ability to apply graduate-level mathematical and statistical techniques to energy market risks.
• Proactive approach to taking ownership of unstructured problems.
• Coding competence in Python, Matlab, or C++ is highly desirable.
