What you will do
- Collaborate with analog and digital designers to develop new mixed-signal ASICs for high-performance OEICs and sensor front ends.
- Develop analog and mixed-signal blocks and integrate them into a mixed-signal hierarchy.
- Own the complete schematic and layout of ASICs throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Manage ASIC specification, chip characterization, validation, and test development.
- Implement dedicated IC blocks and interfaces for wafer or module-level testing (DFT).
- Establish new simulation tools and processes to improve ASIC reliability and design speed.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Photonics, Telecommunications, or Embedded Systems.
- Several years of demonstrated experience in analog circuit design (schematic and layout).
- Expertise in optical detectors, specifically integrated optical detectors.
- Profound knowledge of ASIC simulation, verification methods, and the full development cycle (including DRC, LVS, and parasitic extraction).
- English: Mandatory verbal and written communication skills.
- Location: Must be based in or be able to work from the Vienna office.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of digital design and layout (front-end and back-end).
- Experience with Design for Testability (DFT).
- Experience with measurement equipment up to 10GHz, PCB design, and testing.
- In-depth expertise in semiconductor physics (SiPMs, APDs, PIN photodiodes).
- Willingness to learn and communicate in German.
