What you will do

• Develop a search engine utilizing Node.js and TypeScript.
• Manage extensive data volumes using Google BigQuery and integrate with BI systems.
• Build and enhance high-traffic APIs ensuring minimal latencies.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, QA, and analysts to launch new features.
• Draft architectural decisions and explore new technologies together with the Tech Lead.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• 2+ years of experience building scalable APIs (Node.js, Python, or Go).
• Practical and recent experience with typed languages like TypeScript.
• Solid knowledge of SQL or No-SQL databases.
• Ability to work effectively in an English-speaking and agile environment.
• Location: Must be based in Hamburg, Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
• Experience building Data Models using dbt or working with MPP data warehouses like Redshift and BigQuery.
• Familiarity with centralized logging and monitoring tools like Datadog.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, and orchestration services such as Dagster or Airflow.
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks or Machine Learning/LLM-based systems.
