What you will do

• Design and implement robust, testable, high-performance systems and tools in Rust.
• Optimize existing software architectures to enhance speed and efficiency.
• Actively participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including debugging and optimization.
• Integrate third-party devices, data providers, and AI tools or services into development workflows.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines within a matrix-style organization.
• Provide and receive peer feedback through a regular review cycle to ensure software quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing backend systems in high-performance, team environments.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Direct experience in the cybersecurity domain.
• 3+ years of experience with relational databases (Postgres) and NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch).
• Strong proficiency in Rust and experience working with microservices architecture.
• Experience incorporating AI tools, models, or services into workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale with a focus on reliability.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, and containerization (Docker).
• Proficiency with observability tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and utilizing IaC tools like Terraform.
• Production experience with Kotlin, Go, or Python.
• Experience mentoring team members or leading technical initiatives.
