Technical Lead Software Development (Java)

Location: Hybrid in Lima, Peru

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic running on the mainframe.
• Refactor legacy code to enable seamless interaction between core mainframe data and modern cloud or mobile applications.
• Monitor architecture and identify opportunities to optimize code to maintain and enhance system performance.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions to ensure mission-critical application stability.
• Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.

Requirements

• Experience as a software engineer on complex software projects.
• Strong coding skills in Java with deep understanding of OOP and design patterns.
• Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, containers (Docker & k8s), and messaging queues.
• Must be based in Lima, Peru

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Certifications in Azure, AWS, or Google GCP.
• Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices.
