TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer (Finance): Building and owning the data infrastructure for financial data, including revenue, LTV, and Corporate Scorecard, with an accent on data pipeline reliability and system integration. Focus on automating spreadsheet-driven reporting and implementing a governed data layer using modern lakehouse tools.

Location: Hybrid - San Francisco, CA (onsite 1–2 days per week). Must not be residing in Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, West Virginia, or Wisconsin.

Salary: $172,550 - $203,000

What you will do

• Design and maintain data pipelines for Corporate Scorecard, revenue reporting, and LTV analysis.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales Ops, and BI to translate reporting needs into scalable data models.
• Integrate data from NetSuite, Salesforce, Pigment, and e-commerce platforms into a unified layer.
• Ensure financial data pipelines meet audit, compliance, and privacy requirements.
• Automate manual reporting processes into self-serve data products.
• Contribute to lakehouse architecture using Apache Iceberg, Databricks, and dbt.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data or analytics engineering in production environments.
• Deep expertise with financial metrics such as LTV, ARR, churn, and funnel analytics.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for building reliable pipelines.
• Experience with ERP/CRM integrations including NetSuite, Salesforce, or Shopify.
• Experience with dbt, Databricks, Spark, and AWS.
• Must be based in the USA and able to work hybrid in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience building or owning executive-facing metrics or Corporate Scorecards.
• Familiarity with Pigment or Looker.
• Knowledge of Data Mesh and domain-oriented data ownership.
• Exposure to Supply & Demand Management (SDM) or inventory data.
