What you will do

• Maintain and patch RHEL and Windows server environments.
• Monitor network performance and security devices using tools like Splunk and SolarWinds.
• Review and implement firewall configurations and security device updates.
• Integrate cybersecurity controls into IT projects and ensure seamless interoperability.
• Develop automation scripts using Python for system orchestration.
• Manage change requests to ensure continuous connectivity of security systems.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Must be able to attain and maintain an AOUSC Public Trust clearance
• Minimum 6 years of cybersecurity experience, including 2 years in a cybersecurity engineering role.
• 5+ years of operational experience with Linux, Windows, and security devices (IDS/IPS, firewalls, proxies).
• 2+ years of experience with commercial cloud providers and system orchestration platforms.
• Proficiency in Python coding with at least 1 year of professional experience.
• In-depth understanding of NIST 800-53 rev 5 and Risk Management Framework.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNP/CCIE, or Cloud Architect credentials.
