What you will do

• Perform daily waste audits across all kitchen areas and document findings.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and contamination control for recycling and compost streams.
• Classify, weigh, and process overproduced food for donations or internal reuse.
• Conduct facility walkthroughs to identify contamination and maintain Green Station standards.
• Coordinate donation pick-ups with non-profit partners and manage surplus meal sales.
• Provide operational feedback to staff to reinforce correct waste-sorting behaviors.

Requirements

• Must be based in Austin, Texas
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required
• Previous experience in warehouse, food production, or hands-on operational roles
• Ability to safely lift and move 20 lbs or more throughout the shift
• Basic knowledge of Google Docs and Sheets
• Availability to work weekends

Nice to have

• Forklift certification or experience
• Experience operating a pallet jack
