TL;DR
AI Compliance Lead (Legal/Privacy): Supporting ’ compliance with evolving AI, privacy, and data protection regulations with an accent on regulatory interpretation and practical guidance. Focus on assessing AI initiatives through a legal lens, developing compliance policies, and ensuring readiness for global AI frameworks like the EU AI Act.
Location: Must be based in Vienna, Austria (Hybrid: 3 days per week in office).
Salary: Minimum 45,738 EUR gross per year (market-competitive packages available).

What you will do
- Monitor and interpret emerging global AI, privacy, and data governance regulations.
- Support compliance with frameworks including the EU AI Act, EU Data Act, and GDPR.
- Develop and maintain privacy and AI compliance guidance, policies, and playbooks.
- Act as the primary Legal/Privacy representative for AI-related regulatory and responsible AI matters.
- Coordinate with Security, IT, and Product teams to identify and review AI initiatives.
- Prepare documentation for AI regulatory readiness, audits, and customer assurance requests.
Requirements
- Must be based in Vienna, Austria or able to work from the office 3 times per week.
- Experience in AI compliance, privacy, data protection, or technology regulatory roles.
- Strong understanding of AI and data frameworks (EU AI Act, GDPR, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC).
- Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business guidance.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Security, IT, and Product stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, compliance, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in law or compliance.
- AIGP certification.
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E or CIPP/M.
- Experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or developer tools companies.
