What you will do

• Perform second-line quality assurance and control reviews across AFC processes to ensure alignment with internal and regulatory standards.
• Review Proof of Funds, Source of Funds, and suspicious activity cases, ensuring investigations are evidence-based.
• Conduct enhanced due diligence on high-risk business customers, complex legal entities, and ownership structures.
• Identify control weaknesses and gaps in operational processes, supporting the implementation of remediation measures.
• Collaborate with Operations, Product, Engineering, and Risk teams to improve control design and investigation standards.

Requirements

• University degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in AFC Compliance, AML investigations, or Compliance Oversight within a regulated financial institution or fintech.
• Practical experience in second-line controls and a strong understanding of risk-based AML/CFT frameworks.
• Professional proficiency in German (written and verbal) is required for reviewing documentation and regulatory reporting.
• Must be based in Vienna, Austria for the hybrid work model.
• Strong analytical skills; experience extracting and analyzing data using Snowflake SQL is a strong advantage.
