What you will do

• Design, build, and ship features end to end, from APIs and services to responsive, accessible user interfaces.
• Develop and run cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure using PaaS services, containers, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Build data-driven features by consuming APIs/services and optimizing relational database queries for brokers and analysts.
• Implement AI-enabled product features using retrieval-augmented generation, tool/API integration, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop design.
• Integrate with external market platforms, carrier/client systems, and vendor SaaS using API-first and event-driven patterns.
• Deliver secure, maintainable software with test-driven development, authentication/authorization, and privacy-by-design.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping and supporting production systems end to end.
• Strong backend skills in C#/.NET or Python, with solid API design and strong SQL.
• Practical frontend experience building modern UIs with React or Angular and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Experience applying security and architectural patterns (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, Entra ID, RBAC) and secure coding practices.
• Comfort working with relational databases and performance-focused query design.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance, reinsurance, or wider financial services.
• Experience building with LLMs and AI-enabled solutions, including agentic patterns, prompt design, and evaluation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code or Claude Cowork.
