What you will do
- Design, build, and operate core pieces of the next-generation Serverless search offering.
- Improve components supporting concurrent and consistent indexing across multiple machines.
- Maintain cluster coordination systems to ensure high performance, safety, and liveness.
- Scale search to handle increased numbers of shards, nodes, and petabytes of data.
- Resolve complex performance and concurrency issues end-to-end.
- Provide technical leadership and support for high-complexity operational problems.
Requirements
- Deep background in distributed systems and consensus algorithms.
- Strong proficiency in core Java, JDK, and concurrency constructs.
- Advanced technical proficiency in algorithms.
- Experience building large-scale distributed systems from scratch.
- Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development, debug systems, and optimize code.
- Compliance with export controls; individuals in sanctioned regions (e.g., Russia, Belarus) may require an export license.
Nice to have
- Experience with data stores and search/analytics (Lucene).
- Knowledge of asynchronous event-driven network frameworks such as Netty.
