What you will do

• Design, build, and operate core pieces of the next-generation Serverless hirify.globalsearch offering.
• Improve components supporting concurrent and consistent indexing across multiple machines.
• Maintain cluster coordination systems to ensure high performance, safety, and liveness.
• Scale hirify.globalsearch to handle increased numbers of shards, nodes, and petabytes of data.
• Resolve complex performance and concurrency issues end-to-end.
• Provide technical leadership and support for high-complexity operational problems.

Requirements

• Deep background in distributed systems and consensus algorithms.
• Strong proficiency in core Java, JDK, and concurrency constructs.
• Advanced technical proficiency in algorithms.
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems from scratch.
• Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development, debug systems, and optimize code.
• Compliance with export controls; individuals in sanctioned regions (e.g., Russia, Belarus) may require an export license.

Nice to have

• Experience with data stores and search/analytics (Lucene).
• Knowledge of asynchronous event-driven network frameworks such as Netty.
