What you will do

• Lead strategic ownership of one or more accounts, defining integrated medical and scientific communication strategies.
• Act as a principal scientific contact for client stakeholders and align scientific strategy with brand priorities.
• Oversee production of high-quality manuscripts, congress materials, training content, and digital assets.
• Conduct detailed scientific reviews and lead/defend submissions in MLR systems.
• Manage 3–5 direct reports (writers/ASDs), providing coaching, performance evaluations, and career development.
• Partner with Client Services on scoping, resourcing, and forecasting for pitches and proposals.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field (MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD) preferred.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience in medical communications or medical writing, including account leadership.
• 1+ years of experience in people management and coaching.
• Expertise in scientific writing, data interpretation, and publication standards (AMA, GPP, ICMJE).
• Strong understanding of clinical research and the regulatory landscape, including MLR submissions.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.
