Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (React Native)

Location: Remote within the Canadian provinces of Ontario and British Columbia, preferably in the Greater Toronto Area or Metro Vancouver.

Base salary: CAD 116,000–145,000 annually, with eligible annual bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop cardholder experiences across web and mobile platforms with product and design teams.
• Lead React Native SDK and application development, including native iOS and Android integrations.
• Architect reusable components and design-system-based interfaces for scalable UI experiences.
• Optimize mobile performance through profiling, memory management, lazy loading, code splitting, and efficient rendering.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps, design documents, system architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, performance monitoring, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of web and mobile application development experience focused on React Native.
• Strong React Native expertise, including React Navigation, Expo, native module development, and iOS/Android integration.
• Proficiency with React, Redux or similar state management, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, OAuth, biometric authentication, secure session management, and mobile performance optimization.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD tools such as Fastlane, Bitrise, or App Center, plus Git, feature branching, and pull request reviews.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Swift or Kotlin experience for deeper native integrations.
• Payments or fintech domain experience.
• App Store and Google Play deployment, code signing, release management, or A/B testing experience.
• Knowledge of WebAssembly, PWAs, or alternative cross-platform development approaches.
