Salary: $124,000 - $229,400 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize core runtime engine systems in a large C++ codebase.
• Improve game performance, stability, memory usage, and multithreading across PC and consoles.
• Profile and debug complex runtime issues, crashes, and low-level engine problems.
• Collaborate with pipeline, graphics, and tools teams to deliver robust technology.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on architecture and best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience in game engines or runtime development.
• Deep C++ expertise and ability to work in large, established codebases.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture, CPU performance, and data-oriented optimization.
• Proven experience shipping AAA titles on consoles and PC.
• Must be able to work from the Playa Vista, CA or Vancouver, BC office 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with proprietary internal game engines.
• Knowledge of runtime memory systems, asset loading, and platform-level I/O.
• Strong 3D math and linear algebra skills.
• Experience with game networking, physics, or graphics programming (rendering APIs, GPU architecture).
