Carrier Revenue Analyst (Healthcare)

TL;DR

Carrier Revenue Analyst (Healthcare): Supporting backend Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) operations with a focus on claims investigation, denial resolution, and revenue recovery. Focus on performing deep-dive analysis of commercial payor claims, identifying root causes of payment discrepancies, and driving resolution through internal remediation and external carrier engagement.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to New York, NY (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

Salary: $65,000 - $70,000

What you will do

• Perform detailed reviews of the claims lifecycle to identify denials, underpayments, and processing errors.
• Conduct root cause analysis on claim issues including eligibility, coding, and payer policy misalignment.
• Partner with internal teams and external payors to drive reprocessing, appeals, and corrections.
• Reconcile payments using 835/EOB data to ensure accurate posting and identify discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track denial rates, resolution, and aging AR.
• Contribute to process standardization and automation efforts to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (no visa sponsorship provided).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of healthcare RCM or claims processing experience.
• Working knowledge of claims lifecycle (837, 835, 277/276, EOB interpretation).
• Experience with commercial carriers and CPT/HCPCS coding.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SQL or data querying tools.
• Experience with Clearinghouses, Provider Portals, or Salesforce.
• Exposure to reporting tools such as Power BI.
