What you will do

• Develop a theoretical framework for inclusive AV–VRU interactions and eHMI design criteria.
• Create accessible VR simulators tailored for people with disabilities.
• Design and execute VR experiments to model human decision-making processes.
• Conduct real-world testing to evaluate the effectiveness of inclusive eHMI designs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and mentor PhD students.
• Publish research in high-impact journals and present at international conferences.

Requirements

• PhD degree in Transportation, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Solid background in XR technologies and development using Unity or Unreal.
• Demonstrable experimental design, execution, and data collection skills.
• Strong analytical and programming proficiency in Python and C#.
• Excellent English writing and communication skills.
• Strong publication record in relevant scientific journals.
