What you will do

• Provide technical leadership to strategic customers for successful implementation of big data projects and large-scale warehousing workloads.
• Architect production-level data pipelines, including end-to-end load performance testing and optimization.
• Serve as a deep technical expert in data lake technology, big data streaming, or big data ingestion and workflows.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects on advanced technical sales, custom proof-of-concepts, and workload sizing.
• Create tutorials and training materials to drive community adoption through hackathons and conferences.

Requirements

• 8+ years of technical experience with deep expertise in software/data engineering, data warehousing, and data observability.
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Kafka, and performance tuning of big data solutions.
• Proven track record of migrating workloads from traditional EDW systems (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) to modern cloud platforms.
• Production programming proficiency in SQL and at least one of Python, Scala, or Java.
• 3+ years of customer-facing experience in pre-sales or post-sales technical roles.
• Must be based in Sydney, Australia; willingness to travel up to 30%.
