What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end preparation and review of statutory financial statements for multiple EMEA entities.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax, and legal teams to ensure timely and high-quality statutory audits.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members and review deliverables for quality and consistency.
• Ensure accurate alignment between statutory and corporate reporting (local GAAP vs. US GAAP bridge).
• Partner with regional finance and controllership teams to resolve complex accounting or audit issues.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across statutory reporting activities.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA or CPA certification is highly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in statutory accounting, audit, or financial reporting within a multinational environment.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs across EMEA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Must be based in or able to work from Bratislavský kraj, Slovakia.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with senior leadership and external auditors.

• Prior experience with Big 4 auditors or large multinational companies.
• Exposure to cross-border statutory audits and group consolidation processes.
• Demonstrated experience leading process improvement or automation initiatives.
• Proficiency in additional European languages such as German, French, or Spanish.
