Data Engineer

What you will do

• Design and architect data solutions from requirements gathering through implementation.
• Develop and optimize SQL-based data pipelines and ETL processes on hirify.global environments.
• Troubleshoot and tune performance on large-scale data warehousing systems.
• Advise clients on best practices and help them adopt new platform capabilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data engineering or data warehousing with strong hands-on SQL skills.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
• Client-facing experience with a service mindset and solution-oriented approach.
• Professional proficiency in English for internal communications and documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with open table formats such as Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in a data context.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as Git and Jenkins.
• Exposure to data integration/orchestration tools (Fivetran, Airflow, dbt, Kubernetes, or similar).
• Hands-on interest in AI (GenAI tools like LLMs, RAG, vector databases, or agentic workflows).
