TL;DR

Location: Must be based in Manila, Philippines (Hybrid work arrangement)

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end compliance with Philippine statutory obligations including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR.
  • Manage the full monthly reporting and remittance cycle with zero tolerance for errors.
  • Administer DOLE mandatory benefits, final pay calculations, and offboarding compliance.
  • Ensure accurate new hire registration and maintain employee records throughout the lifecycle.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and proactively update internal processes to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Manage government audits and inspections, acting as the primary point of contact for queries.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Philippine statutory compliance as an employer.
  • Deep working knowledge of BIR employer obligations, including alphalist reporting and Form 2316.
  • Direct experience managing government compliance portals as the primary owner.
  • Strong understanding of the Philippine Labor Code and DOLE requirements.
  • Experience building or significantly improving compliance processes in a scaling business.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with numbers and reconciliation.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with the Philippine Data Privacy Act.
  • Experience documenting compliance processes and upskilling colleagues.
