Salary: $114,300 - $156,200 CAD

What you will do
- Design and own major features, systems, mechanics, and content for The Sims.
- Lead the implementation and iteration of features to meet specific player experience goals.
- Collaborate with engineers, UX, artists, and producers to guide projects from initial design to production.
- Use proprietary game development tools to implement designs, tune features, and fix bugs.
- Mentor other designers, providing feedback and guidance to support professional growth.
- Partner with Development Directors and Producers to plan work and identify risks.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional game design experience on a video game development team.
- Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Vancouver, Canada.
- Proficiency in designing mobile or mobile-first features and systems.
- Experience with live service features, A/B testing, and data-informed design practices.
- Proficient in version control (Perforce, Git) and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Figma).
- Experience leading or mentoring other designers.
Nice to have
- Experience with The Sims franchise or other simulation, builder, or tycoon games.
- Technical background in scripting, modding, or engineering.
- Experience with Unreal Engine and rapid prototyping.
- Knowledge of synchronous multiplayer gameplay and mobile-first UX.
- Experience working within Agile development.
