What you will do

• Ship foundational services to enable engineering teams to move faster with confidence.
• Design and develop platform primitives for infrastructure, databases, and queuing that align with the platform vision.
• Improve the availability, scalability, latency, and cost-efficiency of core platforms to meet SLOs.
• Develop systems and processes that enable highly available and scalable applications using Python, Go, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Mentor and pair with other engineers focusing on performance, self-healing systems, and defensive programming.
• Identify and drive cost-optimization opportunities by right-sizing infrastructure and improving resource utilization.

Requirements

• BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience operating and scaling complex distributed systems.
• Proven experience developing applications in Python and Go.
• Fundamental understanding of Linux and all layers of the networking stack.
• Experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, API gateways, observability, or asynchronous processing.
• Familiarity with large-scale data ecosystems such as ClickHouse, DynamoDB, MySQL, Kafka, Spark, Flink, Iceberg, or Airflow.
