Location: Hybrid — Newport (moving to Cardiff from September 2026), Halifax or Chester

What you will do
- Support personal current account credit risk management strategies across new business originations, existing customer lending, and credit limit decreases.
- Analyse and interpret risk data to maintain production of high-quality analysis for stakeholders, typically using SAS Enterprise Guide and Excel.
- Organise and prepare risk strategy documents and summarise risk data for BAU monitoring and reporting.
- Investigate specified problems and incidents to identify root causes and recommend potential solutions.
- Deliver improvements to existing processes and systems through innovative solutions.
- Meet individual and team objectives while developing analytical skills in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Comfortable working with numbers, demonstrated by a degree/qualification in a numerate subject or at least 2 years of equivalent quantitative experience.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to work creatively with data to answer business questions.
- Clear communication skills to build relationships with partners and present recommendations that influence decisions.
- Strong organisation and ability to manage workload while adapting to changing priorities.
- Proactive approach to personal development and collaboration with others.
- Hybrid working expectation: at least two days per week (or 40% of time) in the office.
