What you will do

• Evaluate resources required to run fault-tolerant algorithms on neutral atom hardware.
• Develop strategies for optimizing and running quantum algorithms.
• Research ways to improve, extend, or generalize quantum algorithms.
• Implement near-term demonstrations of fault-tolerant algorithms on actual quantum hardware.
• Collaborate with Quantum Error Correction, Software, and Compilation teams to drive scalable computer development.

Requirements

• PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with the theory of fault-tolerant quantum computation.
• Strong background in quantum algorithms (e.g., cryptography, chemistry, materials physics).
• Must be based in or be able to work from Berkeley, CA or Boulder, CO.
• Proficiency in Python and Git version control.
