Assurance Intern (Accounting)

TL;DR

Assurance Intern (Accounting): Supporting audit teams in analyzing financial statements and assessing internal controls with an accent on compliance and accuracy. Focus on gaining exposure to diverse industries including Blockchain and Financial Services while developing foundational public accounting skills.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from California offices (San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Long Beach, or Sacramento)

Salary: $30 - $35 per hour

What you will do

• Analyze financial statements and disclosures to identify material misstatements.
• Perform audit procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• Evaluate and test the effectiveness of client internal control systems.
• Examine financial records, transactions, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver quality products within client timeframes.
• Participate in intern events, executive speaker sessions, and team projects.

Requirements

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
• Graduating between 07/2027 – 12/2029.
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing CPA licensure.
• Ability to start in January and work in a California office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, authentic, and resilient mindset.
