What you will do

• Design and develop core machine learning components and architectures for robust perception systems.
• Drive initial implementation and prototyping of key architectural decisions, including long-range detection and long-tail scenarios.
• Improve model frameworks, architectures, and data pipelines to eliminate development bottlenecks.
• Contribute to the technical direction of the perception organization and build consensus across sister teams.
• Collaborate with AI teams to convert research discoveries into scalable product solutions.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person or resident due to U.S. national security and export control regulations.
• BS with 4+ years, MS with 2+ years, or PhD with 1+ years of experience in Robotics, Computer Vision, or Machine Learning.
• Extensive experience architecting, training, and evaluating deep learning models.
• Strong software engineering skills with fluency in Python and hands-on experience in C++.
• Proven track record of driving applied research or engineering projects from conception to productization.
• Experience delivering detection, segmentation, or tracking solutions for real-time robotic applications.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in sensor fusion.
