What you will do

• Act as the strategic data partner to Product and Engineering leads across the Ecosystem space.
• Define and own the long-term measurement strategy for Canva’s app ecosystem, specifically for AI-powered experiences and workflows.
• Identify step-change growth opportunities and establish data-informed goals for the organization.
• Lead experimentation strategy and create robust decision frameworks to drive product iterations.
• Establish how AI system evaluations (online and offline) can be turned into data sources for product decisions.
• Coach and grow senior data scientists while raising the bar for strategic thinking across the discipline.

Requirements

• Experience as a senior data leader and trusted thought partner to Product leadership.
• Ability to think in systems and connect multiple product surfaces into one clear measurement strategy.
• Strong expertise in experimentation and navigating ambiguous, exploratory problem spaces.
• Proficiency in SQL as well as Python or R.
• Proven track record of driving impact in high-growth or zero-to-one product areas.

Nice to have

• Experience defining north-star metrics and success frameworks for entirely new product categories.
• Experience with app marketplaces, API developer platforms, or MCP server products.
• Track record of bringing value to go-to-market teams through data and insights.
