UX Content Writer / UX Writer II

Location: Remote within Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Kentucky

Salary: $60–$65 per hour, W-2

What you will do

• Create concise UX microcopy for customer journeys, transactions, digital products, and self-service experiences.
• Develop content for web and mobile applications, SMS, transactional emails, customer support pathways, and escalation to human assistance.
• Write, edit, and maintain copy directly in Figma using established design systems, responsive standards, and brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, researchers, developers, and content teams.
• Create content variants for Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Rhode Island operating companies.
• Prepare content briefs, rationale, and recommendations connecting copy decisions to customer and business outcomes.

Requirements

• At least five years of professional writing experience, or significant UX writing expertise.
• Demonstrated experience creating UX writing, UX microcopy, or product content for digital experiences.
• Hands-on experience using Figma to write, edit, and update copy within designs.
• Practical understanding of responsive design, design systems, customer journeys, transaction flows, and self-service experiences.
• Experience collaborating with UX, product, design, engineering, and research teams.
• Excellent grammar, editing, communication, and content-structuring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated industries such as utilities, financial services, healthcare, or insurance.
• Experience with customer-facing web or mobile applications and transactional digital services.
• Familiarity with SMS, transactional email, chatbot, or customer-service escalation content.
• Experience working across multiple brands, regions, or operating companies.
• UX writing documentation, content briefs, case studies, or strategy-focused writing samples.
