What you will do

• Define product quality metrics and execute a strategic multi-quarter QA roadmap.
• Expand test coverage systematically, prioritizing by risk and customer impact.
• Drive the adoption of AI tooling across the QA function, from test generation to failure triage.
• Mentor SDETs to transition from test writers to product quality engineers who own subsystems end-to-end.
• Own the test system infrastructure and resource strategy.
• Collaborate with developers to translate quality signals into actionable development priorities.

Requirements

• 5+ years in test automation and 2+ years leading a QA team of 3+ engineers.
• Deep experience with Linux-based product testing (RPM/DEB packages, systemd, multi-distro matrix).
• Strong Python skills for developing test frameworks and tooling.
• Proven track record of integrating AI/ML into production QA workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline architecture (Jenkins Pipelines, GitLab CI).
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher required.

Nice to have

• Experience with VM orchestration or cloud infrastructure testing.
• Experience testing security patches, kernel-level patches, and vulnerability lifecycles (CVE, OVAL, CSAF).
• Hands-on experience with multi-distro Linux testing matrices at scale.
• Knowledge of Linux packaging ecosystems (RPM, DEB, APK) and repository management.
