TL;DR
Developer Experience Engineer (DevOps/AI): Designing and implementing build, CI/CD, and tooling infrastructure for AI researchers and engineers with an accent on Bazel, Python ecosystem, and build optimization. Focus on automating monorepo workflows, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring reproducible builds to accelerate AGI development.
Location: Remote (EMEA). Must be able to travel to Paris monthly (Monday-Wednesday).

What you will do
- Design and manage the build, CI/CD, and tooling infrastructure used by researchers and engineers.
- Optimize monorepo performance, ensure reproducible builds, and maintain a coherent Python ecosystem.
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Buildkite, including agent fleet management.
- Develop internal CLI applications and backend services using Go to improve engineering efficiency.
- Manage complex AWS environments using Terraform or OpenTofu and orchestrate containers via Kubernetes.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response protocols within the infrastructure team.
Requirements
- Must be based in the EMEA region.
- Strong hands-on experience with Bazel, including writing rules, macros, and toolchains.
- Proficiency in Python (packaging, dependency management with uv/pip/Poetry) and Go.
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and running containers with Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and Terraform/OpenTofu.
- Expertise in debugging Linux network and process-related problems.
