What you will do

• Own and evolve the Android technical vision and architecture for a large-scale mobile application.
• Maintain hands-on Kotlin development while providing technical leadership and driving cross-team design decisions.
• Drive end-to-end delivery from technical planning and solution design through to implementation and release.
• Mentor engineers and champion modern standards, including Jetpack Compose, modularization, and clean architecture.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to balance speed, quality, and business impact.
• Improve app performance, reliability, observability, and streamline release processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Android development experience.
• 3+ years in a senior technical leadership role.
• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack Compose.
• Proven track record of architecting, launching, and scaling production apps on Google Play.
• Deep understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, CI/CD, and release automation.
• Must be based in the UK or Europe.
