Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

What you will do

• Build reusable, responsive, and WCAG-accessible components for the design system and web applications.
• Translate Figma designs into component code to align with design specifications.
• Maintain and organize the design token system, bootloader, and codemods.
• Continuously improve the React component library with the latest frontend packages and patterns.
• Ensure seamless deployment by implementing CI/CD unit, integration, and visual regression tests.
• Mentor other engineers and drive frontend engineering best practices across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of post-internship experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in semantic HTML, CSS (preferably SCSS), and JavaScript.
• Experience with component libraries, design systems, and design tokens.
• Strong expertise in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
• Experience with frontend tooling (Vite, Codemod) and testing (React Testing Library, Enzyme, Cypress, Chromatic).
• Must be based in Porto, Portugal for a hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tokens Studio, Style Dictionary, or Storybook.
• Experience with bundlers such as Rollup.
• Deep understanding of CORS, CDNs, and i18n.
