Information Systems Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

Information Systems Security Officer (Cybersecurity): Ensuring classified information systems meet cyber security requirements and government directives with an accent on Risk Management Framework (RMF) and technical Information Assurance. Focus on conducting cyber risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and managing system authorization (A&A) for DoD programs.

What you will do

• Interpret DAAPM to determine Information Assurance (IA) requirements and conduct cyber risk assessments including vulnerability analysis.
• Develop system documentation for information system authorization, security management, and continuous monitoring.
• Ensure selected security controls are implemented and operating correctly throughout the A&A lifecycle.
• Monitor security infrastructure for Indicators of Compromise (IOC) using SIEM and cybersecurity toolsets.
• Coordinate with security engineers, architects, and developers to oversee the development of secure technical solutions.
• Conduct system audits and compliance/vulnerability scans and interpret the results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of degree and experience).
• Active DoD 8570.01-M IAT level II certified credentials (e.g., Security+).
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to government contract requirements.
• Working knowledge of security standards and frameworks: FIPS, NIST SP 800 Series, JSIG, DAAPM, and/or ICD.
• Experience managing cybersecurity for collateral, Special Access Programs (SAP), and/or SCI environments.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to offsite locations.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience with SIEM and Compliance scanning tools such as Splunk, Nessus, ACAS, SCC SCAP, Solar Winds, STIG Viewer, or Vulnerator.
