Technical Consultant (.NET/SQL)

What you will do

• Lead technical implementations of products into customer environments, including on-premise and Azure-hosted deployments.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers during onboarding, integration, and post-go-live support.
• Configure and upgrade the software stack, including IIS, SQL Server, gMSA, certificates, and networking.
• Build and maintain integrations between products and customer systems via REST APIs and other interfaces.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues across legacy (VB6) and modern (.NET Core, Node.js) codebases.
• Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and customer-facing implementation guides.

Requirements

• Strong SQL Server experience (complex queries, performance troubleshooting, schema design).
• Solid .NET background (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework 4.x and/or .NET Core).
• Experience working with and consuming REST APIs.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and manage expectations.
• Practical experience deploying software in Windows Server environments (IIS, networking, certificates).
• Must be eligible to work in the UK

Nice to have

• Azure experience (virtual networks, NSGs, App Services, SQL Azure).
• Exposure to Node.js and TypeScript.
• Legacy technology experience (VB6, classic ASP, Crystal Reports).
• Familiarity with regulated public sector or law enforcement environments.
• PowerShell scripting and experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
