TL;DR

Deputy MLRO (Web3): Managing AML/CFT compliance programs and supervising regulatory reporting in accordance with Taiwan's Money Laundering Control Act with an accent on internal controls, risk assessment, and regulatory coordination. Focus on conducting KYC/EDD, analyzing suspicious transactions via on-chain tools, and ensuring adherence to FSC guidelines.

Location: Taipei, Taiwan / Remote (Must meet Taiwan FSC fit-and-proper criteria and be eligible for regulatory registration)

What you will do

  • Supervise and coordinate the company's AML/CFT program as the dedicated compliance officer under the Money Laundering Control Act.
  • Develop and maintain internal control manuals, standard operating procedures, and risk assessment reports.
  • Perform Customer Due Diligence (KYC), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and ongoing monitoring.
  • Analyze suspicious transaction alerts and file reports (STRs) with the TW FIU.
  • Coordinate with the FSC for examinations and provide all necessary documentation and reports.
  • Monitor regulatory updates, assess impact on operations, and propose response recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Law, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience as an AML/CFT compliance officer in the financial sector or a VASP.
  • Deep knowledge of the Money Laundering Control Act, Counter-Terrorism Financing Act, VASP sub-regulations, and FATF guidelines.
  • Must meet FSC fit-and-proper criteria and be eligible for regulatory approval/registration.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin to coordinate with overseas partners and local stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with on-chain transaction analytics tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic.
  • International AML certification (e.g., CAMS).
