TL;DR
Operations Engineer / Linux Administrator (Debian/SRE): Managing and evolving the infrastructure powering core products with an accent on Debian Linux server fleet reliability, automation, and production support. Focus on optimizing distributed systems at scale, automating server lifecycles, and resolving complex production issues across various language stacks.

What you will do
- Administer a large-scale fleet of Debian-based servers (bare metal and virtualized), managing provisioning, patching, and hardening.
- Develop configuration management and automation using Ansible or similar tools to ensure consistency across environments.
- Monitor system health, performance, and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Manage networking, DNS, firewalls, and load balancing for the server estate.
- Support in-house services, including JVM tuning and Rust binary packaging.
- Design and maintain observability infrastructure using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/OpenSearch.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT Operations, SRE, or Systems Administration supporting production infrastructure at scale.
- Solid knowledge of Chinese Cantonese and Chinese Mandarin.
- Strong hands-on experience administering Debian/Ubuntu Linux servers and systemd.
- Proficiency with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Salt) and scripting (Bash, Python, Go).
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Must be based in Hong Kong for hybrid work.
Nice to have
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or similar.
- Background in high-availability, low-latency, or telecom-style systems.
