TL;DR

Lead Artist (Procedural): Spearheading the creation of procedurally generated content for an ambitious interactive project with an accent on vegetation, organic assets, and architectural facade kits. Focus on designing scalable pipelines, mentoring the procedural art team, and bridging the gap between artistic vision and technical implementation in Unreal Engine.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from the Montreal office at least 4 days a week. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

What you will do

• Translate artistic direction into scalable procedural systems for environment and building generation.
• Lead and mentor the procedural art team, providing feedback and direction.
• Design and maintain efficient pipelines for asset content with a focus on scalability.
• Collaborate with Houdini, Tech Art, and Environment teams to ensure technical implementation matches artistic vision.
• Optimize asset creation workflows for platforms ranging from high-end to mobile.
• Monitor quality, risks, and production milestones across procedural systems.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in AAA game development.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team of artists.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Must be willing to work in the Montreal office at least 4 days a week.
• Expertise in procedural workflows, systems design, and content scalability.
• Experience with Houdini or similar procedural tools and real-time pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience building scalable tools for large-scale asset creation.
• Strong understanding of procedural world-building and systemic design.
• Experience with Unreal Engine pipelines.
• Experience working with outsourcing partners or distributed teams.
