What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java 17, Spring Boot, Node.js, and React or Angular.
• Architect cloud-native, event-driven microservices and RESTful APIs on AWS (Aurora PostgreSQL, ECS, SQS, S3).
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI APIs into enterprise healthcare applications.
• Optimize database performance and ensure application scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 6 years of professional software engineering experience with technical leadership responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency with Java 17, Spring Framework, Node.js, TypeScript, and React or Angular.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (Aurora PostgreSQL, ECS, SQS, S3).
• Proven experience integrating AI or Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities into enterprise applications.
• Must reside within the continental US and be able to obtain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) programs or other federal agencies.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7.
• Professional certifications in AWS, Java, or Agile.
