What you will do

• Design and maintain speech-oriented test suites covering quality, cost, and latency across dozens of languages.
• Monitor and evaluate state-of-the-art transcription and speech-to-speech models to identify industry leaders.
• Develop and evaluate techniques to optimize speech model usage for operational deployment.
• Produce quantitative evaluation reports and model recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to the broader model evaluation framework within the hirify.global Labs Research team.

Requirements

• MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with speech AI systems, including ASR, TTS, or speech-to-speech models.
• Expertise in LoRA/PEFT for speech models and inference optimization (quantization, SGLang/vLLM).
• Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Must be based in Sandy, UT, or able to comply with the hybrid work model.
