Location: Must be based in Heredia, Costa Rica (Onsite)

What you will do

• Lead curation for key domains to ensure business glossaries, datasets, and lineage are accurate and aligned with standards.
• Configure and refine catalog assets like term hierarchies and policies to improve usability and searchability.
• Develop and deliver steward training, SOPs, and playbooks to sustain governance practices.
• Identify automation opportunities for bulk onboarding, lineage harvesting, and quality checks.
• Partner with engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable metadata solutions.
• Build alignment across a matrixed organization by collaborating with data owners, analysts, and product teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business, or 8+ years of equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant technical experience in data governance, metadata management, or data quality.
• Exposure to automation, basic scripting, or SQL.
• Ability to influence without authority across a complex, matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business language into structured metadata.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as DAMA CDMP.
• Experience with Alation or Snowflake data ecosystems.
