What you will do

• Design, build, and scale distributed backend systems serving millions of users.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of features from initial design and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
• Architect real-time, low-latency APIs and backend services for AI-driven conversational systems.
• Develop cloud-native services in Java or Python, ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Manage infrastructure components using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes/ECS.
• Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to deliver production-ready, resilient systems.

Requirements

• BSc/BEng or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one of: Java (17+), Python, or Node.
• Proven experience designing and scaling backend systems for high-throughput real-time services.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS).
• English: Strong communication skills (B2+) required to explain complex technical topics clearly.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Java frameworks such as Micronaut or Spring.
• Experience with distributed data systems like Redis or Apache Kafka.
• Exposure to LLM integration, including prompting, evaluation, and observability.
• Performance tuning and scaling experience in high-throughput environments.
• Familiarity with GitOps, CI/CD, and IaC.
